A Very Busy Weekend!

Saturday

I have always wanted to go to the Country Living Magazine Spring fair, and finally this year I got the chance to go. So early Saturday morning my mum and I set off to London excited for the day ahead.
We had both never been so were really looking forward to it.

I was really inspired by the stalls we saw, they were full of vintage antiques, hand crafted products and little delights that caught my eye, I can not wait to get creating again myself, all in all it was great day with a few bargings bought and a lot of fudge eaten :)

Then came Sunday!

The 6 Mile run all in aid of Sport Relief.

So with the clocks going forward on the same day, this made me tired to start the day,  not good with a 6 mile run ahead of me.
My boyfriend Ben and I decided to take on the challenge of running 6 miles to try and raise some money for sport relief. As tough as it was we did it. Although I must say I had to slow it down a few times and walk, whereas ben powered on through and finished it a little ahead of me with in 57 minutes WOW! I finished just after him but still just under and hour :) a good time I think.

This is us at the beginning of the race.. of course there is no picture at the finish line as it isn't a good look!

Mothers day.

With mothers day last Sunday. A day to celebrate and spoil your mum and thank her for all the wonderful work she does.
I was only to happy to spoil mine :)

This is my beautiful mum, and on mothers day my brother came home to share in our chocolate breakfast, which is the best kind of breakfast. Nothing like chocolate to start the day!

She was spoilt with lovely presents, flowers and of course chocolates, and to top it all off I made her this very personalised card.

Just because my mum is amazing :)

Shop till you drop!

Whilst in france there was a cute little village with a few shops in, not many but enough. One in particular  was right up my street. With handmade cushions and soaps, vintage accessories and french signs. I was in my element and truly inspired.

My dream is to have my own shop one day selling my designs and hand made crafts, that looks like this...

Some very cute little felted treats. Made to look like chocolates and beautifully displayed.

There was also a lovely flower shop that took my fancy. The smell inside was so amazing I wish I could of bagged it up and taken it home on the plane with me.

If only I could read french I could of worked out where I was!!

Some of the quirky little extras that were in and around france were amazing.
Typically french and a great photo opportunity.

A weekend in France

Another weekend is almost over.. they definitely go far to quickly!

This weekend was a change for me. I flew with about ten of my family over to france to surprise my Grandma for her 80th birthday.
The houses that we all stayed in were amazing, beautifully decorated.
So of course I had my camera to hand..

All in an evenings work

After a long old evening I have finally finished my six books.
They are done!!

The first set of three, to be sold separately. Each book I have drawn the imagery and stitched the cross-stitch on the front. They are completely made from scratch.
Each one has been on its own little journey.

A complete contrast in colours bright and bold capturing the eye, just in time for the summer sunshine.
These set of three have also been made completely from scratch and draw by my own little hands!
hope you like :)

Stitched and ready to rock!

The mountain of book pages, keeps growing and growing..
Five down and one more to go then I have my six for my collection. Once all my pages have been stitched together, then comes the messy bit. Sticking the front covers on! This is also the tricky bit.

Busy Busy Busy

Over the last few weeks I have been very busy stitching and sticking to create a collection of notebooks, in the hope to sell them. This is a starting point for my first craft fair where I will be selling my own designed and hand crafted notebooks.

When I work its fair to say that my desk gets a little messy with all my creativity!
